Abstract
In the absence of properly maintained and verifiable data on terrorist activities a research
leading to policy options for countering terrorism remains a mere desire. The absence of
uniform statistics or faulty data hampers the job and assessment of the investigation
management of terrorist incidents. Likewise, the poor quality investigation management
will not create proper information indicators for data collection systems. This paper briefly
examines this issue in the context of terrorist activities in Pakistan.
