Mr. Syed Akhtar Ali Shah (PSP):

Mr. Syed Akhtar Ali Shah is one of the brilliant and senior officers of the Police Service of Pakistan (PSP). He is MA in Political Science (with distinction) LLB and LLM. He has an excellent record of 25 years of active police service, and received both the gallantry awards, the Quaid-e-Azam Police Medal (QPM) and the President Police Medal (PPM) for his outstanding performance as a best field police officer. In addition to his diversified experience in various law-enforcement agencies, he is a known academic, scholar and researcher in the police department. He has written some excellent research papers for the police department on a number of topics including police reforms and crisis management. He is committed to the cause of criminological scholarship and policing sciences in Pakistan. Currently, Syed Akhtar Ali Shah is the Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG), Mardan Region, NWFP, Pakistan.
